1976 Central Bank of Ireland One Pound Banknote Hazel Lavery Image Pick Number 64d Nice Very Fine or Better
Description: A beautiful very fine or better banknote from the Republic of Ireland. This is the Central Bank of Ireland one pound note issued in September 30, 1976 (30.9.76). The banknote is green on pale gold underprint. It depicts the image of lady Hazel Lavery to the right of the front. The back is green on a white background and has the image of the river god in the center. The note has the signatures of C.H. Murray and M. O'Murchu displayed on the front. The note displays the serial number, the denomination, and the date on the front. This particular note has the serial number 43L979689 shown twice on the front in red. It has the date in red on the front as 30.9.76. The note has a watermark displaying the laureate head of a woman. The note also has a security thread left of center. Condition: I would grade the note as very fine or better with all the details being very well preserved. The note is lightly soiled but has no stains. It is intact with no tears or splits. The banknote has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears, and no splits. The edges are intact and show minimum roughness. The corners are squared and intact with some light rounding and bumps. The note has several vertical folds and horizontal folds. It does have general wrinkling throughout. A beautiful and very desirable note to add to your collection.
