Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a very nice piece in form and color that is in very good condition after being around for over 70 years made by one of the best and most famous potters from Southeastern Pennsylvania. Very well done and would display very well in your collection of Pennsylvania redware.

Condition: The bowl is in very good condition with no cracks, hairlines, breaks, chips, or repairs. The piece is all original with general crazing to the glaze and some of the usual manufacturing defects you would expect in a primitive piece of redware of this vintage such as pops, slubs, areas where the glaze did not fully flow, and unglazed spots. The piece has a few small spots where the color is lost near the rim. These are very difficult to see and we believe they are an artifact of the making and as such are original to the making (1st photo at about 2:30 o'clock at the rim). Be that as it may, the piece very nice and rather beautiful. It is worthy of a spot in your collection. Please see photos for additional condition information.
