1917 Egypt 10 Piastres Banknote Pick Number 160b Signed Youssef Wahba PMG Very Fine 30 Currency Note

Description: A nice very fine banknote from Egypt. This is the 10 piastres note issued in May 27th, 1917. The note is green on multi-colored underprint. The front depicts a stylized lotus plant border while the back which is blue in color has the image of the Colossi of Memnon in the center again with stylized lotus flowers border. The note is signed by Youssef Wahba as minister of finance. The note has no watermark that we could find. The front also shows the denomination, date of issue, and the serial number. This particular note has the serial number 52335 and is series "D/96" which are written in English twice in black on the front. The note was printed by the Thomas De La Rue Co. of London. The not is graded as Very Fine 30 by PMG and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. A great note to add Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Size: The banknote measures ~4 7/8" by ~2 3/4". 

Pick Number: P 160b. It is also listed in the Banknote Book as B206b. 

Condition: The banknote is graded as very fine 30 by PMG. It comes in a plastic holder so labeled. It has all of its details very well preserved and is relatively clean with no stains, no tears, no splits, no pinholes, and no graffiti. The note has some light bumps throughout especially along the edges. The corners are intact with some minor bumps. The edges show some wear but appear to be intact. It is our opinion that the note is under graded, but you be the judge. A nice example of this rather rare banknote to add to your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
