1904 Bronze Medal St. Louis World's Fair America Welcomes the World By DePaulis

Description: A nice two inches bronze medal struck by the Monnaie De Paris or Paris Mint. The medal depicts four women standing around a short pedestal on the obverse. Two of the women appear to be native Americans and the other two are European bearing gifts. The pedestal has the image of two hands shaking (Friendship) and the scales of Justice. There is a tree in the back ground. There is also the name DEPAULIS F in raised lettering at about 9 o'clock. The reverse has the legend "ST LOUIS 1904 AMERICA WELCOMES THE WORLD" in 6 lines. there is a cornucopia and the word BRONZE at about 8 o'clock. The medal has a plain edge with no markings. The medal, which is in mint state, is ~2' in dimeter and weighs about 58.5 grams. A great medal to add to your collection. Reference: It is Hendershott 30-280 Marks: Marked DEPAULIS F on the obverse and BRONZE with Cornucopia on the reverse. 

Condition: The medal is uncirculated in mint state. It is beautiful with no observable wear, no blemishes, and a minimum of surface marks. Ther medal is problem free and has great eye appeal.
